Lou Reed couldn't have said it any better. What a perfect day! This weekend Darren, Jeanna and I drove upstate for some autumnal pleasures. With piping hot cups of MUD coffee and freshly baked donuts from Donut Plant in tow, the gorgeous drive up the Taconic gave us a chance to take in all the beauty of the season. The trees surrounding the Hudson Valley were awash in a calico of pink, yellow, red and orange. Simply stunning. Our first stop was Breezy Hill Orchards in Staatsburg, NY followed by a fifteen minute drive to Wonderland Farm in Rhinebeck, NY. Both places are seasonal must sees and I can't recommend them more highly.
